Therapy for Children

It’s Heartbreaking to Watch Your Child Struggle and Not Know How to Help.

Lately Your Child Has Grown More Anxious, Withdrawn, or Overwhelmed

Friendships have gotten harder, or school feels like too much. They can’t focus the way they used to, or they’re still carrying something difficult that happened. You’ve noticed the changes in their behavior, their confidence, their grades, their whole sense of well-being.

And you find yourself wondering: is this just a normal part of growing up, or is something more going on?

What You Want for Them Is Clear. The Path Isn’t.

You want your child to feel happy, confident, resilient, and emotionally healthy. But it’s hard to know where to even start.

There’s a place to start. Therapy gives your child or teen a warm, supportive place to put their feelings into words – a place to build healthy coping skills, and a place to work through what they’re facing, at their own pace.

When Behavior Is the Only Language They Have

Children and teens experience emotions differently than adults. Anxiety, low self-esteem, school stress, social struggles, family changes, and hard experiences often show up as behavior shifts, mood swings, or trouble managing big feelings. What looks like defiance or withdrawal is usually a child asking for help the only way they know how.

How I Help Your Child Feel Safe Enough to Open Up

My goal is to create a warm, age-appropriate space where your child feels comfortable being themselves. Building trust comes first. I work at a pace that helps young clients feel safe, understood, and respected, so the deeper work can happen when they’re ready.

Parents Are Part of the Healing

Parents play an important role in their child’s healing, too. When it’s helpful, I’ll partner with you to better understand your child’s needs. Together, we’ll strengthen the communication, connection, and emotional well-being of your whole family.

Sessions are available in La Crescenta or online across California, in English, Armenian, or Russian.

Picture Your Child Feeling Like Themselves Again

Imagine your child feeling more confident and better able to handle big emotions. Picture them equipped with healthy ways to meet life’s challenges. See the stronger self-esteem, the healthier friendships, the resilience that follows them both at home and at school.

Skills That Last a Lifetime

Early support makes a meaningful difference in a child’s emotional development. The skills your child builds in therapy can serve them for the rest of their life.
